I'm disabled but not legally classified as such. Last year I divorced my husband of 16 yrs because he was molesting my child. I'm receiving spousal support from him until his trial comes up and he goes to prison. then i'll have no income. He's paying me just alil too much for me to get SSI. I've been struggling w/ bills and keeping home out of foreclosure. Things are getting bleak. My daughter is an 18 yr old pregnant high school dropout. She dropped out of school because of what he did and kids knowing about it. So now it's even more important for me to keep my home. I feel that God has blessed she and I with this baby - due Christmas. Something happy to help erase the bad.

i dont know where to turn. I'm hoping to find some program to help us. I no longer have insurance and my medicine and pain management dr is so expensive.

Hi I just found this web page .. Its been almost three years since my estranged husband ,at the time, after abusing me terrifying us ,came back to our home at 4:30 am and set it on fire with me and his three kids asleep in it. It took me 1 year to have him convicted  in that year he was allowed bail and lived a scant 2 miles away from us. I have since had to move across country we have lost a lot and I have accumulated a large amount of debt trying to keep our lives at least somewhat normal. I am out of money now , I am using a borrowed car , I have just gotten a part time job that will earn me under 150.00 a week . I get 5.00 a week child support of course because he is in jail now for 12-36 years. We lost .. We were the victims we are still the victims with no help to finalize a divorce no help to claim bankruptcy, nothing that I can find to get any kinda of real help, just have a fair chance to make it.  I have three of the most wonderful girls ages 8, 9 and 16 all are A students in school and good kids  above all else they do not deserve this ..I myself have done nothing to gain this end result as I never cheated or anything like that I was a stay at home Mom and wife (at HIS request) ,to warrant getting abused stalked and finally the attempt on my life.

  I just want to have a fair chance at this.. I need my divorce finalized, Unfortunately I need a bankruptcy filed I have no extra funds for any of this. legal help of any kind would be most welcome.

Its ironic that at the time we were front page news worthy now I cant find help.. no one wants to hear about what happens to victims of domestic violence. Its a horrible shame if You are brave enough to get the person arrested and convicted you then are victimized by the system. I have spent the last 3 years of my life fighting just for the chance to have a safe normal life.   Thank your for time 

I am a single mother of 2 beautiful girls.  I am working part time and struggling to scrape every penny that I have to pay my car payment (260.00/month), buy my college books(130.00/month), and pay a probation fee(135.00/month) that I don't diserve to have.  My husband molested my children 3 years ago, while I was working 2 full time jobs to support his sorry self, and my children.  I am the one that turned him in to the police when I found out, and because it was my house and he wasn't their biological father, and I trusted him to care for my children and keep them safe, I got 2 Second Degree Felony charges of reckless injury to a child. He used to beat me and lock me in the house, infront of my children. I missed several days of work a month because of bruises and him holding me in the house.  He used to threaten to kill me if I tried to get out, or leave him.  He once pushed me out of the car going down a back street going to our house, then came back and grabbed me by my hair and threw me back into the car.  They were trying to give him life in prison, but he plead to 30 years without parole.  I am trying to get a divorce but, once again I have no money.  My 600-700 dollar a month income barely pays the bills.  I am lucky to have 2 dollars left over at the end of the month.  I have been searching endlessly for a better job, but no one around here will hire a felon. Even though I didn't do anything wrong, I am the one that got the sick, evil, perverted, thing off of the streets.  They don't care, if it's on your record, then according to them, you did it.  I was not even convicted of the crime or found guilty, they just put me on deffered probation for 5 years.  I am a diabetic, I can not afford my medicines, or my testing supplies.  I have asthma, and Fybromyalgia, I was in a really bad car accident 7 years ago that left me having Severe Pain all the time.  I have digenerative disk disease, scoliosis, and severe bone pain.  I have diabetic neuropathy. I need major dental work done, and glasses. I am pleading with anyone that can help or give advice, please, please help us in any way you can.  

I am looking for information for a 24 year old single mother who has finished two years of college and needs aid in order to complete it.  She is a victim of a crime.  She is a good student and an athlete.  Does anyone know if there are funds for scholarship aid to college in California for a person in this situation?
